About

Elsa came to me from the humane society 2.5 years ago, and I WISH that I could keep her. She is respectful and polite and gentle and obedient and lovable in every way, EXCEPT with other dogs. This only causes 2 problems for me. First, I am away from home overnight on a frequent basis, and also on extended trips. She does just fine when I take her to the boarder, but besides the cost, I feel badly about having her there for any extended periods. I cannot leave her with a family or friend that has other pets. Second problem is that I am not young and strong anymore. With a smaller build, I am nervous about the thought that she may get away from me on walks. She does walk VERY well on a leash, but it's unpredictable when she will be triggered by another dog. When this happens, I am able to get her under control quickly, but I still find myself worrying about it. I have had very good dogs in my life, but Elsa has been the best behaved of all, if it weren't for her issues with other dogs. She is extremely attentive and will often do what I want before I even give a command. She is calm and polite around guests and gentle with children. Elsa loves to be near me but is not demanding of attention. She has never messed in my house and knows to stay off the furniture. She is eager to please and learns new things quickly. I hope that she can find a forever home with someone who loves her as she deserves.
